Giant Skeletons in Japanese Folklore

giantskeleton Giant Skeletons in Japanese Folklore
You may not know this, but video games weren’t the first form of media to feature the giant skeleton. In Japanese folklore, Gashadokuro were depicted as being fifteen times taller than an average human.
The Gashadokuro sees a human, it will make an attempt to grab it and bite its head off. Mythology has it that the only way to detect a giant skeleton before it appears is by hearing a ringing in one’s ears.
If you happen to be suffering from tinnitus, you best run and hide. There might just be a giant skeleton after you.
