Welcome to Indonesia, Liverpool FC

Soccer players from the English Premier League club Liverpool are scheduled to arrive at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in East Jakarta tomorrow to play a friendly match against the Indonesia XI team at the Bung Karno Stadium, on Saturday evening. The Reds’ visit is part of their pre-season tour in Asia and Australia.

Indonesia is the first destination of the Merseyside team before its visit to Melbourne, Australia, on July 24 and Bangkok, Thailand, in the next four days.
“They ( the Liverpool players ) have departed for Indonesia today. They will arrive at Halim around 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday,” said Nicky Ifana, the spokeswoman of event organizer Inspire, on Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Liverpool was previously reported to be bringing its main squad to Indonesia, except striker Luis Suarez, goalkeeper Pepe Reina and defender Sebastian Coates.

The Reds’ management gave the three players a three-week holiday following their participation in the FIFA Confederations Cup, which ended at the beginning of July. They were initially expected to join up with the Liverpool pre-season tour on July 22.
However, Nicky said, Suarez, Reina and Coates would likely arrive in Jakarta because according to a release received in Jakarta, the club had included the names of the three players on its tour in Indonesia.
