Java Jazz Festival 2013

Though Java Festival Production has organized the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival eight times, it’s doing something new with the 2013 festival.
Jakarta Festival will invite roughly 350 musicians to perform this year, including special shows by Lisa Stansfield, Basia and Joss Stone , as well as sets by Phil Perry,Craig DavidBob James, Butterscotch and Foureplay for the regular lineup.

The Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival, which was launched in 2005, ranks among the biggest jazz festivals in the world. In addition to bringing together local and international jazz musicians, Java Jazz also branches out to other genres like R&B, soul and reggae.
In 2010, the Indonesian Museum of Records gave Java Jazz an award for being the biggest jazz festival in the world, incorporating 1,300 musicians on 21 stages, the lineup included international stars such as Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Erykah Badu and Bobby McFerrin.

The festival’s website www.javajazzfestival.com also states that such a concert provides Indonesia with positive international press.
