Indonesia pray for Boston

Some days
the evil
in this world
is overwhelming.

On those days
I have to remind myself,
if I want
to change the world
it starts:
right here.
right now.
On my knees.
Stop and Pray.

Arkarna Party Tour Indonesia 2013

British techno rock band Arkarna has asked Jakarta Governor Joko "Jokowi" Widodo to join them on stage during their upcoming concert this weekend in the capital.

"We were talking about getting Jokowi on stage with us to maybe sing a song with us," frontman Ollie Jacobs told reporters after meeting the governor at City Hall on Wednesday. "Together we're gonna sing the Benyamin song. It's gonna be tricky for me in the language. I'm going to need your help," Jacobs added.

The idea of asking the governor, who is known for his fondness for rock music, to go on stage came up after a number of Arkarna's local contacts suggested it.

"Jokowi is very popular with everyone, I love that. All my friends I speak to in Indonesia said he was just a cool guy," he said, adding that "we need to give him some space to think about this. It's gonna be great though."

Jokowi said that he was mulling the offer. "I will decide tomorrow," he said.

Arkarna is going to be performing live in Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday and in the Hard Rock Cafe in Kuta, Bali, on Sunday during its "Arkarna Party Tour Indonesia 2013".
